Cape Town Municipality reserves the right to install a meter to measure how much is drawn from the borehole, however, doesn’t charge anything for water drawn as a result of the borehole at present.

  7. Do I Need Any Authority Or License To Drill A Borehole?

    It depends on where your property is located. For example- If it is in the jurisdiction of Cape Town Metropolitan Municipality, then you don’t need any permission. On the other site if it is in the jurisdiction of your living town, then you do need permission from the municipality before drilling.
